Adult Study Class
Beginning Sunday, September 11th
Paul Twelker will be leading a 9-week Adult Study Class beginning on Sunday, September 11, 2011 that will focus on how to set boundaries in order to develop strong healthy relationships.
Paul writes, “Many people draw overly flexible boundaries and are unwilling to say no, always accommodating the needs of others. Others draw overly rigid boundaries to the point of appearing self-righteous and judgmental.” The course follows the popular classic book by Henry Cloud and John Townsend entitled Boundaries: When to Say Yes, How to Say No to Take Control of Your Life.
Cloud and Townsend provide personal boundaries easier for each person to define while assuring that boundaries have a spiritual purpose. Paul adds, “Setting boundaries is one of the most important skills one can have in fostering strong relationships.”
A brochure and registration form will be available for those interested in the class on Sundays following the morning worship services. You may also call the church office for a brochure.
There is a registration fee of $10.00. Classes will be held from Sunday, September 11, through Sunday, November 6, 2011 in Hale O Kukahiko, the classroom and office building, from 8:40 - 9:30 a.m.
